Roy Kent is here, he’s there, he’s every-f**king-where! Ted Lasso star Brett Goldstein has officially joined the MCU. The Emmy winner’s Marvel role was revealed in Thor: Love and Thunder mid-credits scene. The film’s first end credit scene reveals that Zeus (Russell Crowe) is still alive despite Thor (Chris Hemsworth) striking him in the chest with his own thunderbolt during the film. “People would whisper your name before sharing their deepest hopes and dreams. They begged you for mercy without ever knowing if you were actually listening. Now, you know when they look to the sky, they don’t ask us for lightning. They don’t ask us for rain. They just want to see one of their so-called superheroes,” Zeus says. “When did we become the joke? No. No more. They will fear us again when Thor Odinson falls from the sky. Do you understand me, Hercules?” Zeus continues as the camera turns to Goldstein. “Do you understand me, my son?” “Yes, father,” Hercules responds. Uproxx spoke with Thor: Love and Thunder director Taika Waititi about Goldstein being cast as Hercules. “Kevin [Feige] really wanted him to do it, and yeah, Brett’s amazing,” Waititi shared. “He’s great.” We couldn’t agree more! David M. Benett/Getty Images While the movie confirmed that Thor will return in the future, Waititi admitted that he does not yet know how Hercules will fit in the MCU. “And I don’t know if that’s to do with Thor, or if it’s to do with how that will develop,” Waititi told Uproxx. “Because, obviously, Hercules, there’s a character from the books as well. This will be interesting to see because Kevin, he’s obviously the mastermind of all of these threads and how they’ll tie up and how they meet, mix and match. So I’m curious to find out myself.” Scroll to see how fans are reacting to the Ted Lasso star’s MCU debut: Next, be a goldfish! Everything you need to know about Ted Lasso Season 3 is right here.
