That’s right! On the next installment of the Bachelor Nation franchise, both women from Clayton Echard’s The Bachelor Season 26 will be looking for love—a love you can’t measure, as Gabby so astutely pointed out during the first part of The Bachelor Season 26’s two-part finale. As soon as the two women were jointly named the next Bachelorette (which happened during Part 2 of The Bachelor’s Season 26 finale, which aired live on Tuesday, March 15), Bachelor Nation fans rallied around them online, declaring that dual Bachelorettes was just what they wanted to help heal the wounds after Clayton’s insane season. Now that we know who’s filling The Bachelorette’s titular role (sorry—roles) on the series’ next go-round, and that filming is officially underway (as the pic above from Bachelor Nation guru Mike Fleiss attests), what other info is out there about Gabby and Rachel’s upcoming season? Keep reading for everything we know about The Bachelorette Season 19 with Gabby Windey and Rachel Recchia—including the season premiere date and more!
When will Gabby and Rachel’s Bachelorette Season 19 premiere?
Usually, there’s a break of roughly a few weeks (at least) between the end of a Bachelor season and the start of the next Bachelorette season, so initially, our best guess was that we’d see Gabby and Rachel’s joint Bachelorette debut later in the spring of 2022. That coincided with what unscripted-TV guru Reality Steve had reported, that The Bachelorette Season 19 will debut at the “end of May/beginning of June.” But then on The Bachelor Season 26 finale, host Jesse Palmer said that the girls’ new batch of guys was ready to start getting out of limos to meet them immediately—and then we saw on Twitter that ABC already has a start date for The Bachelorette Season 19. Mark your calendars for Monday, July 11!
When will The Bachelorette start filming Season 19?
Reality Steve originally tweeted that The Bachelorette Season 19 would start filming the night of Wednesday, March 23, 2022. He later amended that to Saturday, March 26—and based on the on-set photos Fleiss tweeted on that date, it seems March 26 was indeed the first day of filming. That’s apparently later than expected, as Reality Steve previously said filming would start the weekend after The Bachelor Season 26 finale. Several days later, on April 5, the official Bachelorette Twitter account shared a gorgeous pic of Rachel and Gabby side by side outside the Bachelor mansion, raving about the “looks” the two ladies were “serving.”
Who is the new Bachelorette Gabby Windey?
Gabby was one of Clayton Echard’s final three romantic hopefuls on The Bachelor Season 26. Her full name is Gabriela Windey. According to Wikipedia, she was born and raised in O’Fallon, Illinois, but attended college in Colorado before settling in Denver. She’s worked as an ICU nurse and she’s been an NFL cheerleader for the Denver Broncos! In fact, in April 2021, she was named one of two winners of that year’s Pop Warner Humanitarian Award—becoming the first woman to receive the NFL honor, which usually is given to players.
What is Bachelorette Gabby Windey’s age?
Gabby was born on January 2, 1991, which will make her 31 years old at the time of her Bachelorette debut.
Who is the new Bachelorette Rachel Recchia?
Rachel was also one of Clayton Echard’s final three romantic hopefuls on The Bachelor Season 26. She is a self-proclaimed Potterhead who can’t wait to read the Harry Potter books with her own kids someday. Another fave of hers? Flamin’ Hot Cheetos. Rachel grew up in Chicago but move with her family to Clermont, Florida, as a teenager. She works as a commercial pilot and flight instructor after recently earning her private pilot license.
What is Bachelorette Rachel Recchia’s age?
At the time The Bachelor Season 26 premiered in January 2022, Rachel’s age was listed as 25.
Who’s hosting Gabby and Rachel’s Season 19 of The Bachelorette?
On The Bachelor Season 26 finale, Jesse said more than once that he would be there alongside Gabby and Rachel watching the whole thing unfold, which made it sound like he was going to host The Bachelorette in addition to The Bachelor—but nothing definite was officially announced at the time and it was all a bit confusing. Since then, it’s come out that Jesse will indeed be replacing former Bachelorettes Kaitlyn Bristowe and Tayshia Adams who had been co-hosting the show they once starred on. Kaitlyn even claimed that she didn’t find out she’d lost the gig until Jesse made that on-air announcement. “I think Jesse’s amazing. He’ll be a great host and I hope he helps Gabby and Rachel in any way that he can,” Kaitlyn said on the Off the Vine podcast. But she added that she’d hoped to “support Gabby and Rachel and be there for them so bad… I think it makes sense to have a woman being there for them.”
Who are Gabby and Rachel’s contestants on The Bachelorette Season 19?
Reality Steve reported right before The Bachelor Season 26 finale aired that “all the guys on the next season arrived in L.A. this weekend and have been quarantined.” He also predicted that the official Bachelorette Facebook page would share suitors’ pics very soon after. It took a while, but those photos were finally posted on Wednesday, March 23. Season 19 is starting out with 35 guys, although usually that number’s whittled down by a few between now and the season premiere. (Then again, maybe since there are two Bachelorettes this time around, producers will choose to keep all 35?) The bevy of buff babes—you can see the entire set of them here—includes a set of twins (!) who are apparently both 24-year-old club promoters. That casting choice hasn’t sat well with many Bachelor Nation diehards, who think Gabby especially, at the age of 31, deserves some more mature mates.
What happened between Gabby and Clayton on The Bachelor Season 26?
Like her fellow Season 26 finalists Rachel Recchia and Susie Evans, Gabby was really put through the ringer by Clayton: After Susie self-eliminated the week before, he told Rachel and Gabby on Part 1 of the Season 26 finale that he’d slept with both of them and told both of them (plus Susie) that he was in love with them. Gabby was so put off by that, she actually turned down his rose that night—but was ultimately convinced to come back and accept. She then met his family and seemed to be in love with him all over again, only to find out during Part 2 of the finale that he loved Susie most of all. But when that happened, Gabby turned into a Woman of Steel, levelheadedly calling Clayton out for his disingenuousness. She coolly and succinctly explained how terrible he was throughout Parts 1 and 2 of the finale when she told him, “You kept me because your pride was hurt because Susie left. When I was leaving you didn’t like it but now it’s okay because it’s on your terms.” And then, when Clayton asked if he could walk her out, the look of disgust on her face should go down in Bachelor Nation history.
What happened between Rachel and Clayton on The Bachelor Season 26?
Rachel was, of course, shocked to be told by Clayton not once, but twice, that she was not the only woman he loved, and that he actually loved one of them (Susie) more. When he simultaneously told Rachel and Gabby in Iceland that he was sending them both home to make a play for Susie, Rachel broke down in tears and disbelief as he walked her to the waiting car outside.
Are there any The Bachelorette Season 19 spoilers?
One of the big questions fans have had so far about Season 19 is: How exactly will the show’s format work with two Bachelorettes instead of one? Will they be going head-to-head, competing for the same guys? So far, the answers to that are still murky. On March 16, Bachelorette producer Mike Fleiss tweeted “not true!” in response to allegations that the show will “pit these two [Bachelorettes] against each other.” However, as Reality Steve said in his March 23 tweet (see above), “Nobody knows the format and how it’s gonna work.”
