“After a busy day, nighttime is a chance to reconnect with myself, get closer to what’s on my mind, and to disconnect from anything that’s going on that may be distracting me,” said Mendes. “With Calm, I want to help others find a routine to hopefully achieve all of that. I believe if we can connect with ourselves, we can then show up in the world more centered and present to what our lives may bring.”This marks Mendes’ second time working with the Calm App. The crooner previously released a mindfulness series in 2021 alongside his ex-girlfriend Camila Cabello titled “Breathe Into It.” The series encouraged fans to foster gratitude, overcome fear, and ease their anxieties. Back in 2021, Mendes opened up to Vogue about how meditation transformed his way of life. “I had definitely sat down a couple of times and done a meditation on YouTube, but it really wasn’t until about two and a half years ago, when I was going through a really tough time and had a lot of anxiety, that I started using it regularly,” Mendes said. “It took me from a place of fear and anxiety to a place where I realized you can’t get anywhere if you don’t start with compassion for yourself." Mendes is among many other stars who help lull their fans to sleep with a bedtime story including, Bridgerton stars Jonathan Bailey and Regé-Jean Page, Harry Styles, Idris Elba, P!nk, and more.
