In the first photo, Chopra can be seen taking a selfie while wearing a simple white button-down shirt with olive green biker shorts. She’s holding her baby girl, who is turned away from the camera. A follow-up photo features an adorable close-up of Chopra as she joyfully smiles with her baby’s feet covering her lips, showcasing her motherly love. “Love like no other ❤️” the actress captioned the photo. Chopra and Jonas welcomed their baby girl, whose full name is Malti Marie Chopra Jonas on January 15, 2022, via surrogate. The 7-month-old’s name is a nod to both Chopra and Jonas’ mothers, Madhu Malti and Denise Marie. The couple has managed to keep their family life private since the birth, keeping photos of their bundle of joy to a minimum. Many photos usually include an emoji covering the baby’s face to protect her privacy. The first glimpse of Malti came four months after she was born when Jonas shared an image of his family of three for Mother’s Day. Jonas penned a sweet tribute to Chopra, writing: “On this Mother’s Day we can’t help but reflect on these last few months and the rollercoaster we’ve been on, which we now know, so many people have also experienced,” he said. “After 100 plus days in the NICU, our little girl is finally home. Every family’s journey is unique and requires a certain level of faith, and while ours was a challenging few months, what becomes abundantly clear, in retrospect, is how precious and perfect every moment is.” He continued, “We are overjoyed that our little girl is finally home, and just want to thank every Doctor, nurse, and specialist at Rady Children’s La Jolla and Cedar Sinai, Los Angeles, who were there selflessly every step of the way.
