During CNN’s broadcast of New Year’s Eve Live in Times Square, Andy Cohen asked the Masked Singer host about an “endgame” when it comes to having more kids, joking that Cannon, 42, appears to be “single-handedly repopulating the Earth” after the birth of his 12th child, a girl born Dec. 14 to model Alyssa Scott. Cohen cut right to the chase, questioning the actor with, “What is your plan?” “Clearly, I don’t have a plan,” Cannon replied. “Honestly man, it’s just so much joy and elation that I have, the family that I have, and I embrace it. I love it, and I don’t have a plan. That should have been clear from the jump.” “A vasectomy?” Andy’s cohost Anderson Cooper followed-up, likely reading the minds of all inquiring viewers familiar with Nick’s family situation. “Is that what you want me to get?” the Love Don’t Cost a Thing star answered, appropriately adding, “It’s my body, my choice.” The conversation then shifted, with Cooper asking Cannon if he had advice for “any new fathers out there.” “Just operate out of love,” the actor said. “I mean some people may say that’s what got us here in the first place, but that’s what I would always do, and always do it with a smile.” As for 2023 New Year’s resolutions, Cannon told the hosts he didn’t make any. “Like I said, I’m just so happy for health, and want to continue to be as healthy and filled with as much gratitude as possible for the next year,” he said. The Wild ‘N Out creator was diagnosed with lupus in 2012, and has often opened up about his struggles with the challenging condition, recently being hospitalized with pneumonia in December. However, though it seems the 42-year-old has no current plans on taking precautionary measures to prevent sowing even more of his wild oats, he recently spoke out about feeling “guilty” over the lack of time he has to spend with each of his 11 children. “Being a father of multiple kids, it’s always the biggest guilt on me that I don’t get to spend enough time with all my children,” he said during an appearance on The Checkup with Dr. David Agus, per Parade’s previous report. “One, ’cause I’m constantly working and two, because I’m just spread thin.” To recap his ever-growing brood, Cannon shares 11-year-old twins Monroe and Moroccan with ex-wife Mariah Carey, 5-year-old Golden Sagon, 2-year-old Powerful Queen and 3-month old Rise Messiah with Brittany Bell, 18-month-old twins Zion and Zillion and one-month-old Beautiful Zeppelin with Abby de la Rosa, five-month-old Legendary Love with Bre Tiesi, three-month-old Onyx Ice with Lanisha Cole, and late son Zen and three-week-old Halo Marie with Alyssa Scott.
