The Duchess of Sussex looked absolutely stunning in a one-shoulder sapphire blue dress by Black designer John Rogers. The bespoke silk piece featured a high leg slit and a turquoise sash that flowed behind Meghan as a train. She wore her hair flowing and parted to one side to best show off the dress’s one-shouldered design, as well as her statement jewelry—the $245 ‘Crumpled Gold’ earrings by Alexis Bittar. Her crystal-embellished sandals were by Aquazurra. Her husband Prince Harry’s suit was also by a Black designer, Ozwald Boateng. Meghan and Harry were recipients of the President’s Award at last night’s ceremony for their social justice work, and appeared on stage together in which they took a moment to pay tribute to the people of Ukraine, “who urgently need our continued support as a global community.” In their speech, the Duke of Sussex said, “I think it’s safe to say that I come from a very different background than my incredible wife. Yet our lives were brought together for a reason. We share a commitment to a life of service, a responsibility to confront injustice, and a belief that the most often overlooked are the most important to listen to.” Meghan also opened up about the couple’s commitment to civil rights, mentioning the death of George Floyd shortly after they relocated to California. “For Black Americans” the nine minutes and 29 seconds it took for him to die, she said, “transcended time, invoking centuries of our unhealed wounds.” We were thrilled to see Meghan’s mom Doria Ragland posing with her daughter for pictures at the event. She looked gorgeous as usual in a black dress and with her hair styled in an updo. Next up, Find Out More About the Royal Family Tree and the Line of Succession
