Kraft posed the question—What’s a Big Mac without the “Mac”?!—before further elaborating that for 55 years, the ultimate burger has been missing a key ingredient that’s right there in its iconic name! Per the press release sent directly to Parade, “Kraft Mac & Cheese is launching WheresTheMac.com–a petition to add Kraft Mac & Cheese to the Big Mac–because can it really be called a “Big Mac” if it doesn’t have “mac” on it?!” After undergoing a name change this summer (they shortened “macaroni” to “mac” on the famous blue box), the brand wants to “ensure the Big Mac lives up to the mac in its name.” “For years, we’ve seen our fans add Kraft Mac & Cheese to their burgers from the comfort of their homes,” said Christina Brown, Associate Brand Manager at Kraft Heinz. “But why can’t we make it easier for comfort-craving enthusiasts? We believe that the time for change is now, and we are hopeful that America’s most iconic burger, the Big Mac, will start to add the most important mac of all.” How will they accomplish this lofty goal and get McDs on board? Well, that’s where you, the consumer, come in! In order to get the “creamy, cheesy noodles” added to the Big Mac, Kraft wants you to visit WheresTheMac.com to do one of two things—use the Twitter bot to send a pre-populated Tweet to McDonald’s or draft a personalized tweet and tagging @McDonalds #wheresthemac. After tweeting, consumers will receive a coupon for a free box of Kraft Mac & Cheese to make their own proper Big Mac & Cheese at home. No Twitter? No problem! You can demand mac and cheese on your Big Mac by filling out McDonald’s corporate feedback form with your request. If we all get on the same page, maybe the next time we roll through the drive-thru, we’ll have the option of loading our delicious Big Mac up with some comfort Kraft Mac and Cheese! More News:
