The two said ‘I do’ at the Park Chateau in East Brunswick, New Jersey in front of family, friends, and of course, RHONJ co-stars. But before they could, Giudice’s hair and makeup team had to get to work on her over-the-top look. In an interview with Andy Cohen for his SiriusXM radio show on Monday morning, the celebrity’s hairstylist, Lucia Casazza, revealed all the highly-anticipated details surrounding the star’s wedding hairstyle–including its price. “As we know, my girl Teresa is the queen of Jersey, so we needed hair that was fit for a queen,” Casazza stated. “You go big or you go home. [Teresa] said, ‘My hair has to be over the top.’” Casazza, who has been working with the star since Season 3 of the Bravo reality TV show, designed the hairpiece specifically for Giudice’s needs as a bride/Queen of New Jersey; which she said also included keeping Giudice’s hair out of her face. Casazza built the custom mesh piece, which was said to be inspired by the extravagance of Italian and Mediterranean brides, using $7,000 worth of real human hair extensions and $2,500 worth of styling products and manual labor for the star to adorn the piece down the aisle. Bringing the total price of her wedding hairstyle to be somewhere around $10,000. Think the price is enough to hurt you? Well, Giudice’s neck apparently took the brunt of the pain. As after the ceremony, the celebrity hairstylist revealed that the weight of the hair extensions were holding the star down. Casazza told Cohen that members of her glam squad spent nearly two hours disassembling the hairpiece and picking 1,500 bobby pins out of the bride’s hair after the reception. With a Bravo wedding special reportedly on the way, more behind-the-scenes secrets about the wedding are bound to come out of the woodwork–or in this case, Teresa’s hair!
