As our readers well know, I love being able to travel around the world from the comfort of my living room to places far and wide and without spending exorbitant amounts of money on hotels and airfare! I’m excited to watch the upcoming Hallmark Channel film, Hearts Down Under, which was filmed on location in Australia.
What’s Hearts Down Under about?
Caroline (Cindy Busby) is a New York restaurateur who is busy with her own restaurant so when a beloved aunt bequeaths her a cafe in a small town in Australia, it’s the last thing Caroline wants to deal with. Even so, she heads down under and finds a bustling cafe with less than impressive food. When she mentions as much to Simon (Tim Ross), her new and temporary landlord there, she’s slightly mortified to find out he’s the cafe’s cook. Eventually, Caroline decides to spruce up the cafe and put it up for sale but the only contractor for miles around happens to be Simon. He eventually agrees to help her with the renovations, but in the process she begins to fall for him and the small town of Lemon Myrtle Cove.
Who stars in Hearts Down Under?
Cindy Busby
Cindy Busby has been acting since she was a young teen and has since been in over a dozen Hallmark films, including the recent Chasing Waterfalls and last year’s Romance in the Air. Fun fact:Busby loves dollhouses and miniatures. “I’ve been fascinated by them for as long as I can remember,” she says.
Tim Ross
Ross has had recurring roles on the popular Australian series, Neighbours, as well as Home and Away and Wonderland. He can also be seen in the current season of Harrow, an Australian series (available on Hulu) starring Ioan Gruffudd as Dr. Daniel Harrow, a forensic pathologist who is able to solve cases that others can’t. Ross can also be seen in the upcoming series, Dive Club, which will stream on Netflix worldwide.
