The actor was best known for his role as Dr. Peter Silberman in the Terminator franchise. TMZ reports that a family member confirmed his death at the age of 81. He reportedly passed away on Thursday in Hawaii. While an immediate cause of death was not revealed, Variety reports that the veteran actor’s friends and family said he was diagnosed with stage four lung cancer last fall. Boen appeared in The Terminator, Terminator 2: Judgement Day and Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines as a criminal psychologist. Boen’s other movie credits include Battle Beyond the Stars, The Man with Two Brains and Alien Nation. He also portrayed Rev. Lloyd Meechum in the ‘80s sitcom Mama’s Family, along with several other TV appearances on shows such as Hawaii Five-O, The Dukes of Hazzard, The Golden Girls, and Three’s Company. His accolades included voiceover work, bringing to life beloved characters such as Mr. Bleakman in Clifford the Big Red Dog and Señor Senior Sr. in Kim Possible. His final role was in 2017, according to IMDB. He is survived by his wife, Cathy, along with his stepdaughter, Ruby, and two grandchildren, Kimmy Abaricia and Kimo Harbin.
