TheDuchess of Cambridge was a shimmering sensation in a sequined pink mermaid dress on Day 3 of her and Prince William’s Caribbean tour. The dress’s vibrant raspberry hue, metallic sequins, ruffled shoulders and floor-length style ensured that Duchess Kate was the center of attention at the ancient Mayan ruins of Cahal Peche in Belize, where she and the Duke of Cambridge attended an evening reception alongside Belize’s prime minister Johnny Briceño. Adding to the mermaid-esque effect was Kate’s choice of hairstyle: long, sleek and parted in the middle. All the better to show off her statement earrings, which are gold-plated and set with uncut crystals. They were made specially for the duchess when she and William toured Pakistan in 2019. Kate’s spectacular dress is by The Vampire’s Wife, and isn’t dissimilar to another dress by the designer that she wore on a visit to Ireland in 2020—but that gown was a shimmering forest green. Last night Kate paid tribute to the culture of her host country by carrying a black and white clutch featuring Mayan embroidery. Earlier in the day, she dressed down in a white t-shirt and khaki pants for a visit to the largest Maya archaeological site in Belize. She and William also visited the British Army Training Support Unit Belize, set deep in the jungle. Next up, Where Does Queen Elizabeth II Get Her Money, And What Is Her Net Worth?
