The actress, 51, was in the car with her husband, Aaron Phypers, on her way to Popsicle Studio in Los Angeles on Monday, Nov. 14, when a road rage situation apparently turned violent. Luckily, no one was injured. According to TMZ, Phypers was behind the wheel while trying to find the location when the driver behind them got impatient and began shouting at the couple while attempting to make his way in front of them. Even after Phypers let the angry driver pass, he shot at Richards and Phypers’ Ford F-150 truck, hitting the back end of the driver’s side. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum then arrived to set, where she is filming an upcoming project, still rattled from the scary incident. Her husband stayed with her the entire time and an off-duty cop on set escorted the couple back to the freeway on their way home, according to the report. A source told People that Richards was “very shaken up and terrified” upon arrival to set, “but she was a trooper and she went and filmed the whole day.” The source added, “She didn’t want to not show up to work.” After getting to set for what was a one-day movie shoot for Richards, the production company “secured the scene,” according to People’s source. “The production company made her feel safe but they didn’t file a police report,” the source noted. “They think now that people were after the car itself because it’s worth a lot of money.” While the source claimed that 911 was called after the incident, it’s still unclear if officers reported to the scene, but we’re glad to hear that everyone is okay!
