Most of these popular games only require paper and a pencil and others will need a preprinted form that can easily be put together. Other festivities, like wedding ring toss or “The Price is Right” game will require a little shopping. All in all the shower games are easy to put together and most are very inexpensive. The more expensive games double as a gift.
1. Find The Bridal Shower Guest
Since there’s a good chance that not all guests know each other, a good way to start the bridal shower is with a little ice breaker game. For this game, make a scavenger list. Include things like “married the longest,” “traveled the furthest,” or “wearing a flowered blouse.” Next, guests will mingle and ask questions to see who meets the criteria and write that person’s name down. Whoever gets the most correct is the winner.
2. Fact Or Fiction?
Another great ice breaker game is this fun game of fact or fiction. With everyone sitting, go around the room and let each guest introduce themself and give three experiences they have had with the bride. Two will be true and one will be a lie. Guests must determine which one is the lie. This is good for a lot of laughs!
3. Would She Rather Bridal Shower Game
Challenge your guests on how well they really know the bride. Start by making a list with two columns for would the bride rather do this or that. (If you know some funny quirks of the bride, make sure to add those!) Next, have the bride check which options she would prefer and then have the guests guess what she chose.
4. Bridal Shower Bingo
This game is similar to traditional Bingo except how the cards are made. Instead of the word Bingo in the middle, replace the word with Bride. All the other squares will be empty. Then, have each guest fill in their card with gifts that they think the bride will receive. When it’s time to open gifts, guests can mark off any that are on their Bingo card. Like regular Bingo, whoever gets a straight line complete first is the winner.
5. The Newlywed Game
Like the newlywed game show, challenge the bride to see how well she really knows her future husband. Before the bridal shower, interview the groom to be asking a variety of questions about himself. At the shower, ask the bride those same questions to see how many she answers correctly. This is a fun spectator game for guests to enjoy between more active games.
6. Wedding Word Scramble
An easy game to prepare is a wedding word scramble. Just make a list of common wedding words and then scramble them up. Guests will have fun unscrambling the words while you are working on getting the shower food ready!
7. Musical Bouquet
Everyone remembers the childhood games of musical chairs and hot potato. This game combines the two for a fun wedding-style game. To play the game, guests will sit in a large circle. When music is played, they pass around the bouquet until the music stops. Whoever has the bouquet at the time is out. The person left sitting is the winner.
8. Toilet Paper Bridal Dress Up
Here’s a hilarious game to get guests up and moving and the bride-to-be relaxing. Simply divide your guests into teams of around four or five people. The size of your shower will determine how many teams you want to do. Each team will pick one person to be a model for a toilet paper dress and the remaining team members will create the dress. Using only rolls of toilet paper, the team wraps the model in the most stylish way possible. Make sure to give a time limit for creating the dresses. Once everyone is done, the bride gets to pick her favorite dress.
9. Wedding Vow Mad Libs
Mad Libs is a hilarious game that you can do with traditional wedding vows. All you have to do is take the traditional wedding vows and leave several of the words out and replace them with a blank line. Label each blank line with a noun, verb or adjective. You will only need to make one copy, which will be yours. Take your copy, with the blank lines, and go around the room asking for a noun, verb or adjective depending on the label of the blank line. Do not read out loud as you go. The guests can’t know why they are being asked for words. Simply ask them for the first word that comes to mind. When all of the blanks are filled in, have the bride to be read aloud her new wedding vows.
10. Wedding Ring Thief
This one is a classic bridal shower game that lasts throughout the entire shower. All you have to do is buy enough plastic rings for each guest to wear. 12. Guess The Bridal Couple’s Ages
Really get to know the bride and groom with this fun guessing game. Before the shower, gather photos of both the bride and groom at various ages. Tape these photos onto a board and let everyone guess the ages that the photos were taken. It’s a fun way to see childhood photos of the future Mr. and Mrs.
13. Test Your Wedding Etiquette
This wedding shower game is similar to the popular game Apples To Apples. What you need to do is write out some nightmarish wedding scenarios. Let the bride read the scenario and then each guest will respond, in writing, with how they would handle the situation. The bride then chooses the answer from a pile that she likes best. Whoever gets the most chosen answers is the winner.
14. Wedding Ring Toss
You may be familiar with a ring toss game. To give it a fun wedding twist, use about six full champagne bottles for the rings to be tossed onto. Line them up in a triangle pattern. Then, use plastic rings from a regular ring toss game but paint them metallic gold. Whoever can ring the most bottles wins. When the game is over, open some up to have mimosas and send the rest home with the bride.
15. Name That Romantic Tune
Play snippets of popular love songs and have guests write down the name of the song they think it is. Maybe let the bride provide you with her favorite wedding songs.

17. Date Night Ideas

18. Name That Spice
This game can double as another helpful gift or you can use a small sample of spices that you already have on hand. Place the sample of each spice in a small plastic cup. Then, number the cups. Guests will get a sheet of paper with numbered lines that correspond with the number on each cup. Have them write down what spice they think is in the jar. Whoever guesses the most, wins.
19. Recipe For A Good Marriage
Here is a fun little activity to have guests do before even coming to the bridal shower. Have each person write out their favorite recipe on a recipe or an index card. Each guest in turn will continue the story and fold the paper before passing. At the end, the bride will unfold the entire paper and read the love story out loud.
26. Memory Game
This memory game might be fun to do after the pass the love story game. The bride will tell their real love story. Have her include lots of fun little details. Then, move onto something else like eating or the opening of gifts. At the end of the shower, ask the guests questions about the love story to see how much they remembered. Whoever remembers the most is the winner.
27. Save The Date
This is another game that will take a little prep work before the shower. Ask the bride to give you several dates that are important to her like first date, proposal date, date of wedding or first kiss. Then create two columns of lists. On the left, write down the special occasions and on the right the dates—but not in the right order. At the shower, have the guests match the date with the occasion.
28. Pin The Corsage On The Groom

32. Garter Toss
Using inexpensive party favor garters, have each guess try to fling the garter into a bucket. Whoever makes it is the winner. If several are successful, the winners will play another round until there is only one left. You may need to make it more challenging if the same players keep winning. Just continue to move the bucket further away.
33. Receiving Line
This game could get a little messy! Divide your guests into two teams. Have a bowl of rice for each team at one end of the room and a smaller container like a mason jar at the other end. Each team will line up between the bowl and the jar. Using only their hands, the first guest in each of the lines will grab a handful of rice. She will then pass it to the next person and that will continue down the line. The last person in line will pour the rice from her hands into the mason jar. Whichever team gets the most rice in the jar wins.
34. She Said What?
Designate one person to write down everything the bride-to-be says when she is opening her gifts. Things like “I love it”, “Yes!” and “It’s so cute!” may be some of the things said. When gift opening is done, read what her words were in the context of what she will be saying on her wedding night.
35. Telephone Toast
The game of telephone is always good for some laughs. In this wedding version, the first person will whisper a toast to the bride and groom to the first person in line.
