What can you expect when shopping at Wayfair?
Buying products online sight-unseen can always be a bit of a gamble, and while you can’t guarantee you’ll be getting your dream couch or the perfect mattress when shopping at Wayfair, you can guarantee that there are plenty of safeguards in place to ensure an easy shopping (and, if necessary, returning) experience. Wayfair offers free shipping for purchases $35 and over unless an item is otherwise marked as qualifying for free shipping. Standard shipping for purchases that don’t meet the minimum requirement costs $4.99, though Wayfair does warn on its website that some items may carry additional shipping charges and that other surcharges and restrictions may apply for some areas, including Alaska and Hawaii. Small items (weighing 150 lbs or less) are mailed via UPS or FedEx, while shipping carriers for larger items vary. Because of this, it can take anywhere from 1-3 weeks for delivery depending on what you’ve ordered. The retailer offers express 1-day shipping, 2-day expedited shipping, ground shipping (which takes 1-7 business days), and economy shipping (which takes 3-8 business days). It’s good to note, though, that Wayfair doesn’t typically make deliveries on Saturdays or Sundays, and their shipping estimations don’t include the amount of time it takes to fill an order, so you may experience some delays due to obstacles like backed up warehouses and supply chain bottlenecks. But let’s say you get your order and it wasn’t quite what you were looking for—it happens! With the exception of mattresses, which come with a 100-night free trial, most items purchased from Wayfair can be returned within 30 days of delivery for a refund or store credit as long as the product is in its original condition and packaging. However, there are some caveats: Any return shipping fees (and in some cases, restocking fees) will be deducted from your refund, and any shipping or assembly costs you paid when placing your order are non-refundable. Furthermore, there are a few circumstances in which refunds don’t apply, including clearance, gift cards, already assembled items, open box purchases, installed appliances, personalized products, and bundles (e.g. 5 for $25)—unless all items included in the bundle are returned. You may be asking “But what if my order arrives damaged?” In the event your order is broken or defective, Wayfair will work to make it right, at no cost to the customer. We’ve scanned through hundreds of deals and picked out the 25 best products you can pick up today during Wayfair’s clearance sale, leaving you with only one challenge: Figuring out where you’re going to put all your fabulous new finds! Here at Parade.com, we’re all about sharing products we love with our audience. When you make a purchase on an item seen on this page, we may earn a commission, however, all picks are independently chosen unless otherwise mentioned.
