Easy Keto Fish Recipes
While I definitely enjoy keto’s meatier options (in fact, I just shared an entire post about juicy keto steak recipes), one of the things that I love about fish is that it typically requires just one pan and a few ingredients. The pan-seared halibut that I included in this post only needs salt, pepper and olive oil. Plus, the chimichurri sauce that I used as a topping is completely optional and you can make it in a blender. Besides their short ingredient list, keto fish recipes are also really quick to cook, making them great 30-minute (or less) keto dinner recipes for those who are busy. One of my favorites in this collection is the baked salmon steak sheet pan dinner. It comes with asparagus and takes only 20 minutes for the entire meal.
What is the ketogenic diet?
The ketogenic diet is similar to the ever-popular South Beach diet of long ago. It’s a high-fat, low-carb plan that is meant to put your body into a state of ketosis in order to burn more fat faster. What is ketosis? It’s what occurs when your body doesn’t have enough glucose to burn for energy, so it begins to burn fat instead, resulting in a build-up of ketones in the body.
